Samuel Bagel Lerner
Hi Everyone, my name is Sam and I am a First-Year Undeclared Engineering Student heading hopefully into the Mechanical Co-Op Stream! A few things I love to do in my spare time are listening to podcasts, going on walks, and talking about anything sports.
As a Second-Year Representative, it would be my job to ensure every second-year student’s voice is heard. I plan to make a positive impact on the Engineering community at Guelph by ensuring any concerns that you may have are voiced. Additionally, I will work to make sure that there are social events that second-year students can attend, to connect and help build lasting memories and friendships. As a Representative I promise to do all that I can to ensure that your experience is a memorable one and given this chance I will be able to do the above for all second-year engineers. My name is Lauryn Lim and I'm running to be one of your 2nd Year Reps for the 2021-2022 school year. Currently, I’m a first-year Biomedical Engineering student and I understand this year has not been what we expected. While it’s been difficult, I look forward to meeting everyone in person as soon as we can!

The pandemic has affected all aspects of our experience from academics to mental health, and as your year-rep, I would work to ensure that your mental health concerns are voiced and brought up to EngSoc. Furthermore, I will work closely with the VP Academic and faculty to bring up any academic concerns that you have. Lastly, I want to help you all get involved in the engineering community and share all the amazing opportunities that exist - Let’s Go Gryphons!

When I’m not studying, you can find me de-stressing with my cats, or baking banana bread - a quarantine hobby :)

Hello Everyone! My name is Shaan Saharan, and I am a first-year Computer-Engineer under the co-op stream. A few things you should know about me is that I love playing sports, hanging out with friends, and absolutely adore my family! I'm excited to be running for Second-Year Representative for ENGSOC to get a chance to learn more about all of you guys and making it a fun experience. I will try my best to make it an engaging and memorable experience if given the privilege to voice the second-year engineers. I believe with my various experiences in leadership and communication roles, as well as already having experience as a First-Year Representative, I will be able to put forth my best efforts.
